Cheap Trick to Perform With Sgt. Pepper in Las Vegas
Cheap Trick and the Sgt. Pepper Symphony Orchestra will take the stage for a live limited engagement beginning June 11 at the Paris Las Vegas Theatre. Cheap Trick is known for its singles, "I Want You To Want Me" and "Surrender."
A celebration of The Beatles' influential album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the show features an orchestra and a captivating experience of light and sound as Cheap Trick perform the entire album live as well as select Cheap Trick songs that lend themselves to orchestral arrangements. Geoff Emerick, the engineer of The Beatles' classic 1967 album, supervises the audio production.
Pixie Lott performed her song "Mamma Do" live at the 2010 Brit Awards. Pixie Lott was nominated this year about she wasn't one of this year's winners. You can watch Pixie's performance here.
Julian Lennon sings "Lucy" on the Early Show. The song is also the title track from Julian Lennon's new album, Lucy. The song is about Julian's childhood friend. CBS says the song also inspired the Beatles' hit song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Take a look:

Usher Performs at Michael Jackson Memorial Service

Singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette dropped by "The Early Show" and performed her latest single, "Not As We." The song is the first release from Morissette's first studio album in over four years called Flavors Of Entanglement. Alanis says she writes her thoughts down in journals and she had filled six journals before working on this latest album.
Singer Kristin Chenoweth: Oscars Prep is Nerve-wracking
Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth is going to be singing "That's How You Know" from the movie Enchanted. She told CNN it is "nerve-racking" to prepare on the big Oscar stage.
Joining them was Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth and singer Marlon Saunders, who are set to perform "That's How You Know" from the movie "Enchanted."
Chenoweth, a Tony Award winner and film and TV star, said it's "nerve-racking" to prepare for the Oscar stage.
"It's the biggest audience I've ever had," the 4-foot, 11-inch performer with the outsized voice told The Associated Press. "I've played many of the famous concert halls in the world but this is something altogether different. I'm just going to try to perform the song and make it about the music and not get too nervous."
Her nerves didn't show during the rehearsal. The diminutive star even warmed up with an operatic aria that drew applause from the orchestra's brass section, which filled half the room. The other half held the strings section and 16 backup singers. Conti wielded his baton from the center as Chenoweth and Saunders donned headphones inside individual glass booths.

Alicia Keys sang in support of the striking WGA writers yesterday during a rally. Keys' performance was part of a big rally as the writers strike continued into its third week. Keys gave a performance of her latest song, "Go Ahead." She also performed her song "No One." Both songs are from her album, As I Am.

Pleasant Morning Buzz reports that Britney Spears will be performing at the opening of the MTV Video Music Awards tonight.
Britney will be singing a new song called "Gimme More." You can hear the song here on Perez Hilton. There is a poll there askin if people like Britney's new song that has over 100,000 entries. 30% say it is "so so." 25% don't like it and 45% say yes it is a good song. As you can see the reviews from the public are mixed with 45% liking it and 55% in the "so so" or don't care for it category. Britney will need a strong performance at the VMAs to generate more interest in "Gimme More."
Microsoft Corp. says it set a record for streaming an online event to the most customers after offering the Live Earth concerts on MSN over the weekend.
About 8 million people watched at least parts of the concerts live over the 36 hours that the shows took place in ten locations around the world. At the peak, 237,000 people watched simultaneously, Microsoft said.
That's more than what Microsoft thinks is the previous most-watched online broadcast, the Live 8 concerts in 2005. According to AOL LLC, which streamed those ten concerts, 5 million people around the world watched live.
